Our physician assistants provide a broad range of health care services. As part of the Physician/P.A. team, they perform physical examinations, order and interpret laboratory testing, assist in surgical procedures, and a variety of other services.
Kim Butterworth joins Neuro-Spine Solutions with five years
experience in spine surgery. Kim provides direct patient care in the
office and assists Dr. Lorio in surgery. She is credentialed by the
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is
licensed in the states of Tennessee and Ohio. She is a member of the
Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of
Physician Assistants. Kim provides compassionate care and helps
reduce pain in her patients.
Over the past 5 years, Kim has worked at various Level One Trauma
Centers including The Medical College of Ohio and The Toledo Hospital.
Additionally she has worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a surgical
First Assistant. On her own time, Kim serves US Military Reservists
as a member of the Post Deployment Health Reassessment Team.
She is certified in Basic and Advanced Life support as well as a
Clinical Research Professional by the Society for Clinical Research
Associates. Kim's clinical interests lie with new spinal technology
research and preventative medicine.

Neuro-Spine Solutions employs physician assistants as a part of our staff to expand the delivery of quality health care. Physician assistants complete college training based on medical school curricula and work under the supervision of physicians.
The physician assistant has many responsibilities and performs a variety of tasks. A physician assistant is authorized to conduct physical exams, and is also credentialed to treat illness and diagnose, order or interpret tests. Physician assistants may also assist in surgery.
